Hi all,

Yes, it has been some time since the completion of our kitchen renovation, about three months I do believe. There are reasons for my delayed response.

Firstly, to take the time to "live in" the new area and experience the new design to feel if it "works for us" or not? Were we advised correctly?

Secondly to have the time to touch and feel the quality of the workmanship - or not - built into our investment. Was the expenditure, as per the new design worthwhile? What about the granite top? Worth the money? Look good or disappointing?

To Shane, Andrew, Debbie and the complete team at Bill & Ben The Cabinetmen - we must say that Wendy and I, found the total experience of the renovation was completed with an extremely high level of professionalism in all areas. The design does "work for us", as does the quality of workmanship in all areas of manufacture. Many thanks!

Apart from being completely pleased with our new kitchen, I must congratulate the Bill & Ben team for they way they co-ordinated the other Trades people to come and go with a minimum of fuss to get the job done, in full, on time.

And the surprise at the finalisation of the job - well, we will not mention that, will we Debbie!

The granite top - I know that we chose the granite, but.... how is it going to look?

Thanks to the 2nd great team - Townsville Stone. To Cameron, Mark and all, they were a pleasure to deal with. The recommendations we received regarding cutting and joining the stone sounded good. They turned out to be absolutely beautiful. From cutting the stone to installation on our benches and sink - this team completed outstanding results.

We are extremely pleased.

About Bill and Ben the Cabinet Men,

This year I was lucky enough to build a new home and the Cabinetmen were recommended by my builder. As was appropriate, off I want to consult about my kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and as the build went on a stereo unit. I had the robust encounter with Shane – I had my desires and he had his construction know-how with what will and won't work, and why it will or won't work.

Previously I had been to four other builders whose choice of cabinet maker was different, but each time I asked for something it was “extra”. When planning with Shane I would ask how much extra will this or that cost – to find it was within the quote. “You can have that or that is included.” He provides a good standard of kitchen sink, vanity bowl and laundry tub which meant I didn't have to go and source them.

As does anyone building today I had a budget to meet. I am very happy to say that with the amount of choice available today a stunning kitchen can be achieved with guidance from Shane.

I would like to thank Shane and his team for a job well done and the attention to detail by all the team members. I would use this team again should it be necessary, and am happy to recommend Bill & Ben only if you want a job well done.
